Spring is a Process

It was 15 Saturday night and it snowed at least three of four times on Sunday. The snow melt from last week is frozen solid and the driveway is a sheet of ice. But  we have baby plants and are seeding more this week, Jonathan shoveled out the woodfired oven on Friday and baked for the first time this year. We were so happy we ate a whole loaf standing up in the kitchen. (Bread will be back regularly on Friday late afternoon/Saturday  morning)

And there are more spring things to look forward to…Save the date cause we have the cure for cabin fever! The Cookeville Coffee House returns on March 22 at the town hall in Cookeville with music from The Rough & Tumble and a taco/burrito bar straight from our farm kitchen! Dinner is $20 and Kids under 12 are $12. Dinner starts at 6:30 and Music Starts at 7:30.

In the meantime....The market will be stocked with carrots, beets, celeriac, sweet potatoes and cabbages and a full selection of our pastured meats, treats to tempt us all from Marilyn's Kitchen and a full line up of local cheeses, milk, yogurt and our very own eggs. Fingers crossed that we will have spinach in stock at the end of the week - greens season is sooo close!

Our special on Cortland Apples Continues - $4.00 a peck. Straight from the Patch Family Farm in Lebanon, NH they are good eating and good pie apples.

And one last thing - starting this week will have a $10 minimum for credit/debit card purchases due to a huge increase in the fees we pay to the processing company. Paying in cash or by check is better all around - no fee means the farm keep more of what you pay for your food and that help us keep our prices down.
Market Hours:  Wednesday - Friday 8:30 a.m till 6pm and Saturday 8:30 a.m till 3pm
