Everything All At Once
March can come in like a lion or a lamb but June always come at us as a frenzy of farming - transplanting, seeding, weeding, baby chicks, baby piglets, the first Farmer’s Market, the first Pizza Night and Hay on top of it all.! This photo captures the frenzy perfectly- we were putting the finishing touches on the first pizza night set up just as Keelan was finishing up mowing hay for the day.
Thanks to all of you who came out for the opening night of the Pizza season - it was a packed house a great first night for our mostly new crew. Join us this Saturday at the farm for woodfired pizza with farm raised toppings, craft beer, cider, wine and meade, fresh salad and yummy seasonal desserts. Music this week is from The Derek Burkins Trio - they continue to capture praise and new listeners each time they take the stage with their infectious mix of bluegrassy folk and we are excited to welcome them back. It might be a tad rainy but we have a new circus tent so we will all be cozy and dry!
Our Cookeville Market will be stocked with arugula, tatsoi, baby lettuce and spinach, baby kale, chard,radishes, rhubarb, broccolini and the first cukes of the season! As always, we will be stocked with grocery staples, local milk, yogurt and cheeses, fresh goodies from Marilyn and a freezer full of our very own pastured meats.
Open Wednesday Through Friday 8:30am till 6pm and Saturday 8:30 -3.
