Still Standing
Posted this photo on social media this weekend in celebration of Saint Patrick’s Day. Our farm is named after this town in Ireland where both Jonathan and I have family. Also added this Irish farmer blessing:
May the rains sweep gentle across your fields, May the sun warm the land, May every good seed you have planted bear fruit, And late summer find you standing.
The blunt wishes for later in the season certainly ring true around here come August and there are parts of March that feel almost as exhausting - we are shaking out the cobwebs and bringing to life every aspect of the farm - all at once!
March at the Cookeville Market means the return of spinach, lettuce and carrots from both our farm and other local producers, As always, we will be stocked with grocery staples, local milk, yogurt and cheeses, fresh goodies from Marilyn and a freezer full of our very own pastured meats.
Burger Night continues every Friday this month- stop by after 4 and pick up a freshly grilled burger with all the fixings. We also have honey BBQ or Buffalo Style chicken wings . It's a great way to end the week!
