Putting the C in CSA

The snow was knee deep on the way out to barn yesterday - despite shoveling twice. The wind was blowing a gale and we were burning through the woodpile but we still spent the day planning and prepping for spring! Ordering seeds and supplies, creating seeding and grazing schedules and even scheduling the music for pizza night all happens at this time of year. Many of the expenses we incur at this time of year are not recouped until late spring or summer. This makes it a great time to renew your farm share!  Remember that the balance on your card never expires! Plus, you can reload with more Crossmolina Cash at any time.

Take advantage of our early bird special! Buy or reload your card at our Cookeville Market before March 1 and pay by cash or check to receive a $5.00 gift certificate for something yummy from our Farm Kitchen!

The market will be stocked with, carrots, beets, celeriac, potatoes and cabbages, a full selection of our pastured meats - including our specialty sausages, treats to tempt us all from Marilyn's Kitchen and a full line up of local cheeses, milk, yogurt and our very own eggs. We are taking a break from greens harvesting to let our lettuce and spinach begin to regrow - the longer days this month will help with that and we will be back in action soon.

Our special on Cortland Apples Continues - $4.00 a peck. Straight from the Patch Family Farm in Lebanon, NH they are good eating and good pie apples. Don't we all need a pie?

Market Hours:  Wednesday - Friday 8:30 a.m till 6pm and Saturday 8:30 a.m till 3pm
