Full On Summer Eating!
It’s getting to be that time of year when you look at a recipe - any recipe - and we have every single ingredient - all grown right here on the farm. We have just a very few ripe tomatoes this week but we are looking at a full harvest sometime later this week or early next week. New potatoes will also make their first appearance sometime later this week or early next - it all depends on the rain. We will be working to preserve the harvest by making more pickles and salsa and - of course, - summer meals for you to take home and enjoy!
Our Cookeville Market will be loaded with freshly harvested baby lettuce and kale, chard, broccoli, cauliflower, snap peas, cabbages, cukes, zucchini, snow peas, green onions, and the first beets and carrots! ! As always, we will be stocked with our pastured eggs, grocery staples, local milk, yogurt , ice cream, cheeses, fresh goodies from Marilyn and a freezer full of our very own pastured meats including a new batch of our pastured chickens!
Super excited to report that we will have AMISH PEACHES! Picking up three cases today. Get them while they last!
Open Wednesday and Friday 8:30am till 6pm and Saturday 8:30 till 3pm.
Pizza Night continues this Saturday at the farm with woodfired pizza with farm raised toppings, craft beer, cider, wine and meade, fresh salad and yummy seasonal desserts. We have a full night of music this week from 5:00 on with both Guinguette Duo - an accordion duo with a warm, romantic sound and some lively rhythms and the toe tapping classic fiddle tunes of Dave Richard and Adam Boyce. Music and Pizza start at 5pm. Reservations Required - email info@crossmolinafarm.com or call the farm at 802-439-3358.
