Early Winter
We went from planting garlic in our short sleeves to single digit temps and over a foot of snow in less than a month. As a result, we are still catching up on winter prep and today the flock went into the barn. The deep snow made them follow Jonathan and Clark in single file from one end of the farm to the other as they preferred to keep their feet out of the snow and in the tracks of their trusty shepherds.
The Holidays are in full swing at the Cookeville Market - look for fresh wreaths all week from Martin Farm in East Corinth and on Friday and Saturday we will have their Christmas Trees. Come by for burger night on Friday or breakfast and hot cocoa on Saturday and get your Christmas Tree in delicious style!

We have a special selection of our pastured meats for holiday feasting and you can pre-order them at the market for pick up December 23rd or 24th. Choose from Turkeys Hams, Pork Roasts and Chickens.
December brings fresh greens from our greenhouses, roots of all kinds - carrots, beets, radishes, sweet potatoes. parsnips and our amazing array of potato varieties for mashing, baking, frying and whatever recipe you can think of.
As always we will be stocked with treats from Marilyn's Kitchen, local dairy, cheeses, ice cream, grocery staples, and a full selection of our farm-raised meat.
Our Farm to Take Out menu this week includes Cabbage Rolls, Chicken Parmesan, Macaroni and Cheese with Ham and Winter Greens, Leek and Potato Soup and Split Pea Soup with Ham.
Burger Night is every Friday between 4 and 6. Pick up a farm-raised burger with all the fixings! We also have farm-raised, smoked Chicken Wings.
The Market is open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 till 6:00 and on Saturday from 8:30 till 3:00.
